About
I’m Thomas. I build products for a living and tinker with side projects for fun. Right now I lead data and insights products at BambooHR, where I spend most of my time figuring out how to make analytics and AI genuinely useful for people who aren’t data scientists. Before that I was Head of Product at Veras, an AI scheduling startup, and before that I helped build the communications platform at Podium.
I studied Economics and Computer Science at the University of Vermont, where I also captained the D1 lacrosse team. I’m a product leader who codes. Not at a staff engineer level, but enough to build real things and have honest conversations with the people who do.
Outside of work, I’m a former cyclist who got into running and is currently training for the Salt Lake City Marathon and the Utah Valley Marathon. I’m learning piano, I coach high school lacrosse in Utah, and I build websites for local businesses, including my parents’ coffee shop. I also write, partly because I think it’s the best way to figure out what you actually believe, and partly because I just like doing it.
This site is where I share what I’m building, what I’m learning, and whatever else I find interesting enough to write down. If any of it resonates, great.
