Podium

I spent four years at Podium, going from intern to Senior PM. Podium helps local businesses, think dentists, auto shops, home services, communicate with their customers through text, collect reviews, and process payments.

I worked on the core communications platform. At its peak, we were sending over a million messages a day across 100,000+ businesses. I owned the messaging experience end to end: how businesses sent and received texts, how conversations were routed and managed, and how the whole system scaled without falling over. We drove an 11x increase in daily engagement and a 23% improvement in customer response rates. I shipped multiple 0-1 products from conception through launch and growth.

Podium is where I learned how to build products at scale. It's also where I learned that the best products are often the simplest ones, and that local business owners have zero patience for complexity. If something takes more than two clicks, you've already lost them.
